This weekend was my first time in any Comfy Cow location, and I went twice because it is really good. OK, flavors. You don't get standard, run of the mill flavors like vanilla and chocolate. No, you get to try out burbon ball and chocolate with cayenne and cinammon. I dove into Prezel Logic (with peanut butter chips and chocolate-covered pretzels) as well as Cow Tracks and really liked them both. Each had a smooth, creamy flavor that was indicative of higher quality ingredients and handmade churning. Personally, I didn't think the prices were all that high. $3.xx for a scoop on a sugar cone isn't too bad. Three of us indulged for just over $10. That seems on par with other places in town of similar fare. The staff was friendly and helpful, offering tastes of anything you wanted to try. The old building shares a similar look that is becoming common downtown with exposed brick, tall windows, wrought iron and a cleaned-up, industrial chic. Outdoor seating is available both in front and back. Parking is simple and convenient. The music selection was a bit strange (lots of late 90's and earlly 00's pop and rock), particularly given some of the nostalgia (think 50's and 60's) on the walls. I'll definitely be back!

Out of all the dessert shops in the area, this is my favorite. Always fast and friendly service as you try all the flavors you need until you find that perfect one for the day. It doesn't hurt that the ice cream is some of the best around. Totally worth trying if you've never had it.

Comfy cow is the place for ice cream. It has hand dipped only...and their seasonal flavors are always fun. My personal favorite non-seasonal flavor is simply southern which has a nice pecan and bourbon flavor. The people that work there are always friendly. We stop here almost once a week. It's convenient too...right off the bridge in downtown New Albany!

We visited during mid day on a Wednesday and it was not busy, we were able to enjoy the vintage atmosphere and ice cream in glass dishes, without a big crowd that I am sure they have on weekends or evenings. They have very unusual flavors, nothing run of the mill. Prices are very high, almost 6.00 for a regular sundae, however the ingredients are premium and we all know you get what you pay for. They will let you sample flavors to your hearts content too! Comfy is not an every day kind of place but very nice if you want something different and special give them a try. Oh and I would like to add that from years experience they are charity and community minded. I have experienced them many times at charity events and that does not go unnoticed.

I love ice cream. My jeans size says I probably love it more than I should. However, I just don't love Comfy Cow. Yes, the store is cute, and it is quaint that they serve the ice cream in glass dishes. However, the product is priced like a premium ice cream but has mouth feel of a lower quality grocery store brand. They are also really stingy with their scoop size as compared to their price range competitors (ie Homemade, Graeters, Zestos, etc). There are a lot of great ice cream options in New Albany. This is not one of the better ones.

The New Albany location of the infamous Comfy Cow small chain of dessert shops is my personal favorite. The service here is far and away the best I have ever received in a place like this, and the quality of the ice cream/toppings and the variety is unbeatable. We stop here at least once a month, and I recommend you do too when you have a sweet tooth. Dangerously good.

This is one of the best ice cream shops! The interior is quaint with ample space to sit at tables. There is a covered outdoor patio that was very clean and not covered with sticky melted ice cream goo. The atmosphere is a 5! The ice cream is gourmet premium and with plenty of unique and local specialty flavors. I had bourbon ball. It had a rich bourbon flavor with dark chocolate chips. Great with coffee to cut the richness and savor slowly. No matter what your pallet craves they have flavors to make a party happen. Sample! They are generous and encouraging as you find the right one to satisfy.

Absolutely loved the Pistachio ice cream!! I was pleasantly surprised by the array of ever changing homemade ice cream flavors they offered. What made my experience even more enjoyable was the beautifully refurbished historic building in which they operate. Very eclectic and lively atmosphere with plenty of outdoor seating and murals. I especially it a kick out of the Barbie's scaling the wall to meet Ken. I urge anyone to try out this unique ice cream parlor in the historic downtown section of New Albany. I shall be back!

They were really busy but they served us in an efficient manner! The ice cream was delicious, I got Cow Tracks! It is more expensive than a typical ice cream place but it's due to the higher quality ingredients.
